The reason I have such a hard time with relationships is that when I like start liking someone, I only start liking them because I’ve built this idea in my head of what they truly are like. I think I just build up the idea of the person in my head if they seem at all interesting in the first place, and then I start to idealize them in my mind. I spend so long just building them up in my mind, and so by the time I figure out how they really are, it’s SO hard to let go of them because in my head I’ve built them up for so long as someone great. Even when I realize my perception of that person is not correct, my mind still tricks itself into believing that it’s still correct, so I just never let any of my crushes go, no matter how much or little I know of them. I can never see people for who they really are, just these mixed up conceptions of who I think they may be….GAAAH HOW FRIGGEN FRUSTRATING!
